CANTON -- Two men were charged by village police on drug charges after a noise complaint on Dec. 11 at about 10:53 p.m.
Odiri Igbayo, 22, of Brooklyn and Torrie Evans, 20, of the Bronx, were both charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of marijuana, both violations, and third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.
Police said they responded to a noise complaint at apartment B-2 at Westgate Terrace Apartments, 49 W. Main St. When one of the tenants opened the door, the officers were allegedly able to see marijuana in plastic packaging in plain view inside the apartment, and the occupants were arrested.
Both men were arraigned in Canton town court Dec. 13 and released. Further court action is pending, say police.
Canton police were assisted at the scene by the county sheriff’s department and state police.
