LAWRENCE -- A Nicholville man was charged after driving recklessly, including driving on both shoulders of the road and driving 20 mph over the speed limit Thursday night, according to state police.
Hoshua J. Murray, 33, was charged around 9:30 p.m. with reckless driving, speeding, failure to keep right, unsafe turns without signaling and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Police said they stopped a 2005 Dodge Ram after it was observed driving recklessly on McEwen Road. The vehicle exited both the west and east shoulders of the roadway as it travelled south, then increased to 75 mph before turning into a field on McEwen Road.
Troopers said they then detained Murray.
He was found in possession of about 10 grams of marijuana, officers said.
He was cited and released on tickets returnable to Lawrence court Aug. 2.
