NEWTON FALLS — A Newton Falls woman was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance on Saturday, March 5, according to Gouverneur police.
Cheryl E. Tardif, 34, was charged with two counts of fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
The arrest was the result of a joint investigation between the Gouverner Police Department and St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, officers said.
Tardif was transported to St. Lawrence County Jail where she awaited arraignment in county court, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible, officers said.
