A new program from the Health Initiative, Inc. aims to reduce teen pregnancy in St. Lawrence County with teens taking a lead role.
They are asking teens who live in the county who can commit time and energy to Teens HELP (Helping Each other with Life’s Problems) to get involved.
They will be asked to create and sustain sexuality education, improve communication skills, increase access to health care, and encourage youth development.
They would have to commit a few hours a week to the program.
To volunteer, contact Kelly Johnson-Eilola at 261-4760, ext. 234 or kelly@gethealthyslc.org.
The program is funded by New York Department of Health.
