NORWOOD -- Seaway Area Technical Education Center in Norwood recently began training their metalworking technologies students on the program's new Plasma CNC table.
The integration of the programming with the technology of the table brings a new training opportunity to the program.
The first production projects created with this new tool were sponsor plaques for a local charity event, custom-made by two seniors in the Metalworking Tech program, Coleman Whitman of Canton High School and Noah Hargrave of Massena High School.
The Wounded Warrior Outdoor Adventures organization recently held their Second Annual Warrior Challenge Run. The students wanted to lend their new skills to this event, so using various design software, the students created custom plaques given to sponsors of the event.
The two students created, cut, welded, and painted these plaques.
