MADRID -- New Beginnings Thrift Store and Food Outreach, State Street, has announced a modest price increase that goes into effect Feb. 2.
Bag sales of gently used clothing will continue. Shoppers can take home a medium bag of clothing for $2 or a large bag for $4.
New Beginnings is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon and offers a large selection from a small space.
Food is available by calling Gloria at 322-5631 or Anita at 322-4307.
Donations are accepted during hours of operation.
Last fall, New Beginnings also put out a call for people to give $12 to raise money for a new building. At that time, $60,000 or half of the needed funds, had been raised.
To donate, make checks out to New Beginnings Building Fund and mail to New Beginnings PO Box 142, Madrid, N.Y., 13660. All gifts are tax-deductible.
