POTSDAM – Village police are searching for a hit-and-run motorist who knocked a victim off a bicycle on Leroy Street near Potsdam schools Tuesday.
The victim was crossing Leroy Street at Cottage Street in the posted crosswalk yesterday afternoon at about 4:20 p.m. when a light blue Chevy Traverse failed to yield right of way and hit the victim, according to police.
The collision knocked the victim from atop his bicycle, at which time the suspect vehicle continued through the intersection and left.
The victim was uninjured.
The Potsdam Police Department is asking anyone with information that would aid in identifying the vehicle or driver to contact the police department at 265-2121 or potsdampolice@gmail.com.
