Low pressure moving along the east coast will produce a mix of rain and wet snow across the North Country today, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Snow accumulations will range from an inch or two in the St. Lawrence Valley to 3 to 6 inches in the mountains of Northern New York, NWS says.
Highs today will be around 38 with rain and snow before 3p.m. and then rain likely between 3 and 4 p.m. There is a chance of rain and snow after 4 p.m. with about an inch of snow likely in most portions of the county.
Blustery and colder conditions follow this system tonight into Wednesday, with highs mainly in the upper teens to upper 20s, forecasters say.
Another coastal system will impact our region on Friday into Saturday with a mix of rain and snow likely, the service says.

Sunny, with a high near 26. West wind 8 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 17. West wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable in the evening.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 32. South wind 3 to 7 mph.

Snow, mainly after 1am. Low around 26. Southeast wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Friday
Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 35. East wind around 5 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

A 50 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30. West wind 6 to 8 mph.
Saturday
Snow showers likely before 8am, then rain and snow showers likely between 8am and 11am, then rain showers likely after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. West wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
