MASSENA — A Massena woman was arrested on assault and menacing charges after she allegedly attacked another woman with a baseball bat.
Bridget M. McGregor, 47, was charged at 1:12 a.m. on State Highway 420 with assault with intent to cause physical injury with a weapon, felony.
She was also charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use, troopers said.
Troopers say charges stem from a fight that occurred at McGregor's residence on State Route 420 in the town of Massena.
McGregor engaged in an argument with a 51 year-old female, who also resides at that residence.
During the argument, McGregor struck the other female numerous times with a metal baseball bat, according to police.
Troopers say the victim was treated and released at Massena Memorial Hospital, where she was treated for contusions to her face and head.
McGregor was arraigned before the Town of Massena Justice, Judge Sharlow remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond.
