MASSENA -- A local law change that allows the village to accept sewer discharge from outside vendors and charge for the service passed with no comments from the public.
The village board on Tuesday voted 3-0 to amend the village sewer code to “include legislation that allows the village to accept discharge from outside vendors, provided all permitting criteria has been approved and at a rate of $0.10 per gallon,” the resolution says.
Mayor Tim Currier was excused from the meeting to coach basketball. Trustee Tim Ahlfeld, a New York Power Authority employee, was excused for work.
