MASSENA -- A Massena man was jailed Tuesday after allegedly brandishing a knife and demanding drugs and money from a 19-year-old Massena resident late Monday night, according to state police.
Joseph D. Mitchell, 20, was charged with third-degree robbery and second-degree aggravated harassment.
Mitchell pulled a knife and demanded a small amount of marijuana and cash before making threats, police said.
The alleged victim gave Mitchell a small amount of pot and drove away, troopers said.
The arrest took place at 1:47 p.m. Tuesday at 257 County Road 42 in Louisville.
Mitchell was arraigned in Waddington Town Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
He is to appear in Louisville Town Court Dec. 11 at 3 p.m.
