MASSENA -- Memory Keepers, a local group who raises money for the Alzheimer’s Association, recently raised $1,100 for the cause.
The team recently served brunch for more than 100 people at the Massena Moose Lodge. The event was part of the Massena Chamber of Commerce 2015 Frozen Fun Winter Carnival.
“Without the support and generosity of so many friends and community-minded businesses, our team’s fundraisers would not be successful,” said Team Memory Keepers Captain Marilyn Gollinger.
The team has fundraisers planned throughout the year, all leading up to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which will be in Canton on Sept.13.
The team has been fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Association since 2008. To date, they have raised almost $35,000.
Those who wish to support the team can follow them on their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TeamMemoryKeepers and their Alzheimer’s website at http://act.alz.org/goto/teammemorykeepers.
