MASSENA -- Massena Memorial Hospital Medical Imaging Department choose to donate to the Community Christmas Basket program of the Tri-Town Area in lieu of receiving recognition themselves as part of National Radiologic Technology week.
The Radiologic Technologist voted to give back to an organization that continues to give back to families in the multiple communities.
MMH Medical Imaging Department donated $800 to the food pantry who serves many families in the Tri-Town area.
The Community Christmas Baskets is a program which provides “families in need” with new toys, used toys, clothing and food during the Christmas holiday.
The “families in need” come from the Tri-town area of Brasher, Lawrence and Stockholm.
The entire community joins in providing time, support, space and monetary donations to support this program.
Holidays are often stressful, especially in these hard economic times.
The Community Christmas Basket program goal is to help ease the stress and provide children and their families with a happy and exciting holiday.
