MASSENA -- A Massena man is jailed without bail on multiple charges, including burglary and forcible touching, stemming from three separate incidents that allegedly took place over the last year, according to village police.

Raymond E. Artz, 39, of 8 Lincoln Place is charged with second-degree burglary, two counts of petit larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief and forcible touching. He was also charged on a bench warrant for failure to appear in Massena court.

The burglary and criminal mischief charges, along with one of the petit larceny counts, stem from an alleged Nov. 17, 2013 incident, according to court documents. He is accused of breaking into 10 Cornell Ave., the residence of Jaime D'Addario. He allegedly stole $110 in change, the spare key to a Honda Civic and damaging several items, including a horse figurine, a display rack and throwing miscellaneous things around the house. D'Addario told police that three or four Smirnoff drinks were missing, as well as a bottle of wine.

The forcible touching charge stems from an alleged incident on Oct. 14, where he is accused of touching a 28-year-old female's breasts while the two were drinking behind Triple A lumber, and later slapping her backside.

The other petit larceny charge stems from a Nov. 3 incident where Artz admitted to police that he stole a 30-pack of Labatt's Blue from Price Chopper.

Artz was turned over to Massena Police by Potsdam Police, who had charged him with first-degree scheme to defraud. To read more about that, click here.

Artz was arraigned in Massena court by Justice Gerald Sharlow and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on no bail.
