MASSENA -- A Massena man is jailed without bail on a felony DWI count after striking two cars in a parking lot then trying to flee the scene, according to Massena Police.

Robert B. Brody, 44, of Grant Street is charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated, along with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, police said.

Brody allegedly struck two cars in the Walmart parking lot, drove through a cart corral then ditched his vehicle and tried to flee the scene on foot, police said.

He was charged at 9:15 p.m. Saturday in the store parking lot, police said.

Brody was arraigned in Massena Village Court by Justice Patrick Serguson and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, police said. He is being held without bail because of having two prior felony convictions, according to documents filed with the court.
