COLTON – A Massena man was injured and arrested for drunk driving Saturday after he was thrown from his motorcycle after it crashed in a culvert, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
David J. Simpson, 58, of 80 Cook St., Massena, went off NYS Hwy. 56 at about 6:37 p.m., deputies said. They said his 1996 Harley Davidson went off the road, struck a culvert and overturned, ejecting Simpson.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated and taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital where he was treated and released.
He is to answer the charge in Colton Town Court at a later date.
