LOUISVILLE -- A Massena man is facing a misdemeanor trespass charge after troopers say he mistakenly entered the wrong house and got into bed with one of the occupants.
Howard E. Donnelly II, 35, of Roosevelt Street is charged with second-degree criminal trespass, troopers said.
On Oct. 24 around 2:14 a.m., troopers say they responded to a Louisville home to a report of an unknown male inside the residence.
The male was reported to have stripped down to his boxer shorts and attempted to get into the bed with the female complainant. Other family members were inside the residence also asleep at the time, according to police.
Troopers arrived on scene and were told the subject, later identified as Donnelly, had fled the residence. He was reported to have left his belongings inside the residence and fled towards the Econo Lodge wearing just boxer shorts.
A state police K9 handler responded to the scene to assist with a search.
A United States Border Patrol officer found Donnelly inside the Econo Lodge.
He was taken into custody, and turned over to state troopers without incident. Massena Rescue Squad evaluated him on scene “with nothing to report,” troopers said.
Donnelly was arraigned in Massena Town Court and released on his own recognizance with orders to return Nov. 7 at 5:30 p.m.
