MASSENA -- A Massena man on Monday was jailed after being charged with multiple thefts from Walmart going back six months.
Matthew M. Howard, 38, of county Route 42 was charged with five misdemeanor counts of petit larceny at 6:12 p.m. on South Main Street, police said.
He is alleged to have shoplifted from the store on Dec. 10, Feb. 18, April 27 and twice on June 2, police said.
Howard was arraigned in Massena court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $2,500 bail, police said.
