MASSENA -- A vehicle fire is under investigation, according to Massena Volunteer Fire Chief Patrick O’Brien .
The blaze, which was on Linden Avenue, was reported this morning around 4:30 a.m.
Firefighters discovered a pickup truck fully engulfed in flames when they arrived on scene, the chief said.
The cause is not known at this time, but it is believed the fire started near the backseat.
Firefighters were able to limit the damage to the vehicle and keep the flames from catching nearby structures on fire, O'Brien said.
Chief O'Brien said the fire was only 4-6 feet from two homes. The heat caused minimal damage to one house.
No injuries were reported.
The St. Lawrence County Fire Investigation Team is investigating the incident.
