MASSENA -- The Board of Education voted Thursday to hire two teachers, a teacher’s aide, a half-time special education teacher and several substitutes.
Jennifer Earl and Ashley Belile will teach fourth grade. Earl will teach at Madison Elementary and receive a $42,439 salary.
Belile will be paid $38,133 per year and teach at Nightengale Elementary.
Their contracts run through June 30, 2017.
Lezlie Gray was hired as a half-time special education teacher at Madison. She will receive a $21,912 salary.
Tommie Jo Villnave will receive $16,071 per year to work as a teacher’s aide at Madison.
The board also hired substitute teachers.
Laura Fishlock and Katherine Denny will be paid $100 per day. Gloria Grant, Angela Olson, Angelica Smith, Donna Backus, Katie Brooker, Alex Carvill, Leanna Collard, Shana Smith and Janelle Sparger will be paid $80 per day.
David LaGoy and Thomas Cameron were hired as substitute bus drivers at a rate of $15 per hour.
