POTSDAM -- A man was sent to the hospital following assault by two others in Potsdam at 11:54 p.m. Friday.
Andrew C. Rupp, 23, of Victor, and Maxwell Ferris of Three Mile Bay were charged with third-degree assault at 11:54 p.m. Friday, according to Potsdam Police.
Police say Rupp, along with Maxwell Ferris, engaged in a verbal argument with a male subject that escalated into a "physical altercation resulting in the victim losing consciousness and sustaining facial injuries."
Rupp and Ferris were located a short time later and were taken into custody.
The victim was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital by Potsdam Rescue for medical evaluation.
Rupp and Ferris were processed on the above listed charge and were released on an appearance ticket.
