St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies said they arrested a man after he allegedly fled the scene of two property-damage accidents on Thursday.
Officers said that Lee W. Moody, 37, no address available, was involved in an accident on CR 24 in the Town of Pierrepont.
He reportedly struck several trees causing damage to the vehicle he was driving. He continued driving and was involved in a second accident on the Russell Turnpike Road in the Town of Parishville.
He was located by deputies a short distance from the second accident, officers said.
He was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, speed not reasonable, using a portable electronic device while driving and failure to keep right stemming from the first accident.
He was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and leaving the scene of a property-damage accident in Parishville, deputies said.
No injuries were reported.
He is to appear in court at later dates to face the charges.
