HERMON — A man was arrested Friday after meeting with a teenage girl that he met online without the consent of her parents, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Nicholas Z. Zephir, 20, Hopewell Junction, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, officers said.
Zephir allegedly met the St. Lawrence County girl online and later met with the girl in person early on Thursday.
He then took her to an undisclosed location in the Gouverneur area without consent of her parents, deputies said.
Zephir was arraigned in Hermon court and released with an order of protection issued in favor of the victim, officers said.
No further details were reported by law enforcement.
