TUPPER LAKE -- Big Tupper Brewing is bringing back their Lumber Jack & Jill event this weekend at their Cliff Avenue location in the center of town.

A full weekend of lumbering activities will take place, that celebrates an important part of Adirondack history.

From storytelling to demonstrations, the weekend will offer something for all ages.

Starting on Friday, Feb. 15 at 5:30, Big Tupper Brewing will host storyteller Bruce Lavoy as he brings to life the tall tales of the lumbering days of old.

Sit by the outdoor fire and enjoy hearing what it was like to be an early Adirondacker, while enjoying the Happy Hour prices from 5 to 7.

Following the fireside event, local musicians Ben McClelland and Jay Martin will entertain inside the pub from 6-8 p.m.

On Saturday, Feb. 16, doors open at 11 a.m., with the festivities getting underway at noon with an opportunity to meet the Paul Smiths Forestry Team before they get busy with demonstrations throughout the entire afternoon.

The street closes at 1 p.m. as the team conducts demonstrations of chopping, sawing, axe throwing, carving, and more throughout the entire afternoon.

In addition, there will be an outdoor cornhole tournament with prizes, giveaways and more.

At 2 p.m., Clover and Thistle will entertain the crowd with some spirited North Country style music that will have the crowd tapping their toes and dancing.

Throughout the rest of the afternoon there will be keg tossing contests, keg races, carvings and chair skits put on by the Paul Smiths Forestry Team.

The entire afternoon will continue with demonstrations and contests, and some fun giveaways followed by a carving auction.

An LCR Tournament is scheduled to get underway at 6 p.m.

On Sunday, an ADK Bloody Mary Tonic Lunch special will begin at noon.
