CANTON – Little River Community School announced the graduation of Ian Corse and Maddy Stevens. Graduation ceremonies were held at the school on May 20 with friends and family in attendance.
Ian Corse, the son of Maria and Mike Corse, Pierrepont, has attended Little River’s three room school house for the past eight years.
He graduated with a GPA of 3.84.
Ian is a writer and an artist.
He has been accepted into the Alpha Science Fiction and Horror Workshop for Young Writers this summer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In the spring, he and Stevens together won first place for the Senior High Analysis category at the Science Fair at SUNY/Canton for a project that was critical of the proposal to site a nuclear plant in Massena.
Corse farmed for several years and started his own CSA business.
This past year he took two classes at St. Lawrence University in the High School Enrichment Program.
