WADDINGTON — A Lisbon woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after she was involved in two accidents in which she fled the scene on Wednesday night, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Ruth C. Green, no age available, was charged with aggravated DWI, leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, unsafe backing and failure to keep right, officers said.
Deputies said they responded to a report of an accident around 10:20 p.m. on Main Street.
Deputies said Green allegedly backed into another vehicle causing damage to the other vehicle.
She left the scene and drove west on St. Lawrence Avenue before crossing the roadway and going into the ditch where she struck a utility pole, deputies said.
Her blood-alcohol content was reportedly .18 percent.
She was issued appearance tickets and released.
No injuries were reported.
