LISBON -- Lisbon Central School Board has named Patrick J. Farrand as superintendent of schools beginning July 1.
Farrand will replace outgoing superintendent Erin Woods who served in the position for nine years. Woods has taken a position as a special education school improvement specialist.
Farrand currently serves as the principal for grades 5-12 and is the director of athletics for Lisbon Central School.
He was high school principal at Massena Central School District from 2010 to 2014. He also served as the International Baccalaureate Head of School for Massena from 2010 to 2014.
Farrand was assistant principal at Massena from 2008-2010 and an alternative education school supervisor there from 2008-2010.
Farrand began his career as a high school science teacher in the Indian River school district in 2001.
