Law firm planning to identify eight Diocese of Ogdensburg priests accused of sex crimes against minors

A Minnesota law firm is planning a Wednesday event in Syracuse where they say they will identify eight priests from the Diocese of Ogdensburg who have been accused of sexual offenses against minors.

A press announcement from the Jeff Anderson Associates PA firm says they will release identities, histories, and background information on the eight priests at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Marriot Syracuse Downtown, 100 East Onondaga St.

The firm says they also plan to release identities, histories and background info on 19 Diocese of Syracuse priests accused of sex crimes against minors.

The announces says the firm will “discuss the Independent Reconciliation and Compensation Programs now open to certain sexual abuse survivors in both dioceses; call on the Diocese of Syracuse and Diocese of Ogdensburg to release the names and information on all priests accused of sexual abuse; encourage sexual abuse survivors to come forward safely and confidentially.”
