CANTON -- The International Student Exchange is looking for families in St. Lawrence County willing to host a foreign exchange student from China, Germany, Thailand or Spain.
Each student comes fully insured, and with their own spending money; which covers their cell phone bill, medical needs, activities, school lunches, clothing, and other expenses.
Parents need to be their parent, set chores, and make sure house rules are followed and provide a place to sleep and study along with meals when not at school.
Becoming a host family includes an online application and a home visit.
The approval can happen within 24 hours.
