LISBON — Two people were ejected from an Amish buggy and a horse was killed after a 2014 Dodge Charger struck the buggy Monday evening on SH 68, according to state police.
Tyler F. Amo, 26, Canton, was driving the Charger around 6 p.m. when he failed to see an Amish buggy that was carrying Andy S. Yoder, 17 and Levi M. Miller, 30, both of Heuvelton, officers said.
Both Amish men were ejected from the buggy, police said.
Miller declined medical treatment but Yoder was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for a head injury and bruised lung, officers said. He was later transported to University Medical Center in Bulington, VT, where is was last listed in stable condition.
The horse was put down due to injuries sustained during the accident, troopers said.
Amo was uninjured during the incident.
The crash is under investigation by state police.
