NORFOLK -- An Essex County homicide suspect was apprehended in Norfolk on Monday afternoon, according to state police.
Around 3:14 p.m., members of the Ticonderoga Police Department with the assistance from the New York State Police, arrested Michael E. LaRock, 38, of Ticonderoga. He was taken into custody without incident at 59 South Main St., Lot 25, in Norfolk, troopers said.
Police received an anonymous tip that LaRock was staying in that area.
He has been charged with one count each of second-degree murder, aggravated criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with physical evidence, and concealment of a human corpse.
He was arraigned at the Ticonderoga Town Court and remanded to the Essex County Jail on no bail.
Massena Police assisted in LaRock’s apprehension.
The Plattsburgh Press Republican reports that LaRock is accused of shooting and killing William T. Brown, whose body was found in the LaChute River on Friday.
