POTSDAM -- A Hogansburg man was charged early today with driving while intoxicated with two-and-a-half times the legal blood alcohol level.
Rarihwenhawi J. LaFrance, 22, was stopped by St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies for alleged speeding along Maple Street in Potsdam at 3:20 a.m.
A subsequent investigation revealed LaFrance allegedly had a blood alcohol level of .20 percent.
He was released on appearance tickets charging speeding and DWI, and ordering him to appear in village court at a later date.
