HOGANSBURG -- Akwesasne Mohawk Ambulance added a 2015 Demers ambulance to its fleet on March 24.
“This ambulance will provide BLS (basic life support) and eventually ALS (advanced life support) emergency medical service to the entire territory of Akwesasne, Canadian and American sides,” said ambulance program manager Daryl Diabo.
Diabo said the Demers will replace an aging unit “and will be on the road shortly as AMA Unit 1.”
