CANTON – A hit-and-run accident in which two people were hurt when their horse-drawn buggy was sideswiped is being investigated by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
They report that a buggy carrying Levi M., 36, and Susie B. Keim, 30, of Rensselaer Falls Thursday night on Cty. Rt. 15 was sideswiped by a white or grey sedan.
The Keims received minor injuries, deputies said, and were initially treated by Rensselaer Falls Rescue for what were described as minor injuries. They were then taken to Claxton Medical Center, treated, and released.
Deputies said the suspect car was driving in the same direction as the buggy, and probably has damage on the right side.
Anyone with pertinent information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 379-2222.
