HERMON -- Fire investigators are looking into the cause of the fire that destroyed a trailer home on Jonesville Road Tuesday morning.
Hermon Fire Department Second Assistant Chief Allen Trimm said that the structure was fully involved by the time they were notified of the fire. When Hermon, Richville, Gouverneur and DeKalb volunteers were called out at 11:30 a.m., they were confronted with a trailer that already was a total loss.
No one was home at the trailer at 609 Jonesville Rd. at the time. No one was hurt, Trimm said.
Trimm said fire companies only took about 15 minutes to put the fire out.
At this time, Trimm said, neither a point of origin for the fire nor the cause have been determined.
