HERMON – A Hermon was jailed Saturday after allegedly fleeing a St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputy while driving an ATV.
Dennis L. Lapoint Jr., 24, of 1195 Pond Rd., was charged with the third degree class A misdemeanor after he was observed speeding on an ATV on Main Street, deputies said.
He failed to stop his ATV even though he was advised to do so several time by officers, deputies said. He drove in a reckless manner throughout the Village of Hermon while attempting to get away from law enforcement officers, deputies said.
He was arraigned in Hermon Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County Correchtional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail, deputies said.
