POTSDAM — A Hermon woman was arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs on State Highway 345 on Tuesday after crashing her vehicle into a telephone pole, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Ashley M. McGregor, 22, was charged with DWAI: Drugs, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlawful possession of marijuana, failure to keep right, unsafe tires, operating a motor vehicle with a fake inspection certificate, officers said.
McGregor was allegedly traveling north on SH 345 when her vehicle crossed over into the oncoming lane, exited the west should of the roadway and struck a telephone pole.
A small amount of pot was found inside the vehicle, deputies said.
McGregor was reportedly found to be impaired by drugs.
She was cited and released.
Deputies were assisted on scene by state police, West Potsdam Fire Department and Potsdam Rescue Squad.
