EDWARDS -- A Harrisville man who led St. Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies on a high speed chase, on Sept. 16, has been arrested.
Jeffrey C. Weaver, 31, was charged with speeding (105 mph in a 55 mph zone), fleeing a police officer, fourth degree criminal mischief and multiple traffic violations.
Deputies say Weaver was initially caught speeding (47 mph in a 30 mph zone) in the village of Edwards. When deputies attempted to pull him over, Weaver fled, reaching a speed of 105 mph.
Deputies say Weaver attempted to make a right turn on State Highway 58 when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed it into several small trees.
Weaver then allegedly fled the scene, but was located by deputies a few days later.
He was arraigned by Justice Julia Latray and released on his own recognizance.
