The mission of the HARRIS program, Helpful And Relevant Resource Information Series is to provide information and resources to enhance an individual's or caregiver's experience when dealing with a diagnosis that impacts Activities of Daily Living.
Attendees will learn about a variety of items that may improve their day to day quality of life.
The program will run from September through December on the second Thursday each month from 2-3 p.m. at the Harris Medical Store, 63 Market St.
Attendees may select to attend any or all of the programs based on their needs. Topics will include an overview of information about mastering the challenges of daily life when dealing with short or long term illnesses.
Each monthly event will focus on a particular topic such as dealing with mobility issues, incontinence care and enhancing meal time independence. Each program will include a short presentation followed by question and answers and time for conversation and light refreshments.
