POTSDAM – A Hannawa Falls man is facing multiple charges for allegedly stealing private property at a Lower Pine Street business then fleeing at a high rate of speed, according to village police.
Francis T. Green, 34, was charged with two counts of petit larceny, attempted petit larceny, criminal trespass third degree, failure to stop at a stop sign, two counts of passing through a red light and a motor vehicle license violation at 1:14 p.m. Saturday, police said.
Police responded after receiving a report that he was inside a fenced-in and posted area attempting to load property into his truck. The suspect fled at a high rate of speed, committing several traffic offenses that were observed by the witness, police said.
During their investigation, police said they discovered he was also in possession fo two pieces of property that had been taken from the business.
