MACOMB -- A Hammond teen was charged on Sunday morning with the rape of a person less than 11 years old, according to state police.
The 14-year-old male, whose name was not released due to his age, was charged at 11:45 a.m. with first-degree rape and first-degree criminal sex act, both felonies.
Troopers said the charges stem from an incident that was reported Saturday at noon that allegedly took place in Macomb.
The teen was issued appearance tickets and released.
