HAMMOND – A former Hammond Central School bus driver is accused of stealing more than 1500 gallons of gasoline and diesel fuel from the bus garage between July 2007 and this past September.
Jeffrey L. Webster, 54, 45670 Otter St., Alexandria Bay, is also accused of buying oil and oil filters from a local auto parts store, charging them to the school and keeping them, according to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
Webster is charged with a felony, third-degree grand larceny.
Deputies said that Webster took home 1,028 gallons of diesel fuel and 480 gallons of gasoline between July 2007 and September 2011 while he was employed as a bus driver and mechanic at the school.
He was arraigned in Hammond Town Court and released.
