CANTON – A Gouverneur woman is accused of leaving the scene of an accident where a Virginia man sustained a broken leg.
Lynette C. Nicholl, 51, 180 Rock Island St., is alleged to have struck the 22-year-old man on State Rt. 68 near the SUNY Canton entrance at about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday.
The man, not identified by state police, was taken by Canton Rescue to Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
About an hour after the accident, state police said, Nicholl turned herself in to police.
Nicholl was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and issued an a ticket ordering her appearance in Canton Town Court Sept. 28.
