GOUVERNEUR – A Gouverneur woman has again been cited for failing to keep cows from wandering the neighborhood.
State police on Friday arrested Jaclyn D. Tarus, 41, for Reckless Endangerment of Property and Animal Cruelty.
Tarus did not maintain adequate fencing for her cows even after several requests from neighbors and police, troopers said. The cows damaged the neighbors property several times and Tarus also did not maintain adequate food or water for the cows, police said.
Tarus was processed at state police headquarters in Gouverneur and issued an appearance ticket to appear in Town of Gouvernueur court on September 16.
She was cited on several times earlier this summer for failing to restrain her livestock.
