GOUVERNEUR -- In light of a recent car theft, village police are reminding residents to keep their vehicles locked and valuables hidden from plain view.
“Thieves are more likely to walk away from a locked vehicle,” Chief Laurina Greenhill said.
She added that people should not keep keys or key fobs in their vehicles.
Greenhill said police recovered the stolen vehicle and an investigation is ongoing.
