COLTON — A Gouverneur man was killed Sunday afternoon on SH 3 after the motorcycle he was driving was involved in an accident with a van, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Brandon R. Cardinell, 24, was pronounced at the scene of the accident by Sy. Lawrence County Coroner Joe White, deputies said.
The accident took place a few minutes after 3 p.m. and took place about 8 tenths of a mile east of the Sevey Road intersection, officers said.
The driver of the van was reportedly Paul G. Jensen, 46, Warrensburg. Jensen was transported to Saranac Lake Hospital by Colton Rescue for minor injuries, deputies said.
Cranberry Lake Fire and Rescue and state police were also on scene.
The investigation is ongoing, deputies said.
