MORLEY -- Thanks to the efforts of a local Girl Scout, those who want to read but can't get to the library now have an option.
Margaret Doty of Girl Scout Cadette Troop 50228 started the Little Free Library. It is a book exchange where people can pick up and leave books for free on the Morley Library front porch.
Little Free Library is an initiative with 63 locations statewide. Morley and SUNY Potsdam are the only two in St. Lawrence County.
Doty started the project as part of her Silver Award project for the Scouts. She ordered the materials, built the box and filled out the registration paperwork, according to the Morley Library.
