CANTON -- The GardenShare board is taking nominations for the Growing Community Award.
The award recognizes a person or organization who has dedicated time and energy to strengthening a community-based food system.
Past recipients include Jenny and Brian Walker from 1844 House, North Country Public Radio, North Country Grown Cooperative, the UShare program of Canton's Unitarian Universalist Church, Katherine Lang, Betsy Hodge and Carlton Doane.
The award will be presented at the annual Harvest Social in November.
