CANTON -- A small group of New York City children arrive in Canton to spend summer vacations with volunteer host families in Potsdam, Colton, Canton, Parishville, De Kalb Junction, and Parishville Tuesday.
A reception is planned for 4 p.m. in the Canton Village Park at Park Street.
The youngsters are six to 18 years old and will be visiting for two weeks or more. Some are leaving home and New York City for the first time, while others are returning to visit the same host families for consecutive summers.
Fresh Air Fund’s Gail Bice will be on hand to welcome the young visitors.
