FOWLER — A Fowler man was charged Sunday afternoon after he allegedly slapped his one-year-old son, according to state police.
Steven D. Parody, 24, was charged at 1:11 p.m. with assault causing injury to a person less than seven years old, felony, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child, troopers said.
The incident occurred Jan. 22 and involved Parody and his girlfriend, and their one year-old son.
During the incident, Parody became angry, and slapped his one year-old son, causing him to fall to the floor and bump his head.
Parody then refused to allow his girlfriend and their child to leave the residence.
He was arraigned in the Town of Fowler Court before Judge Paul Lamson and released to the supervision of probation. Parody is to reappear on March 3, 2016, at 6 p.m., in the Town of Fowler Court.
